Chain of command

Last week, there was an incident at work where we came under attack by another department. And my boss was amazing. I have worked for people in the past who would, in that situation, turn on their own staff out of fear and weakness. But that’s not what my boss did. Like a good leader, he protected his people. And he’s empowered to do that in part because his boss will support him. And on up the chain. I am deeply grateful to my boss and to the boss’s boss and the boss’s boss’s boss for their humane and competent leadership.
