A Retreat for Moving Into Stillness with Denise Barclay

This Annual Mindfulness, Movement and Meditation Retreat began in 2012.
Dhamma is all things all the time so on this retreat while engaging in gentle yoga and QiGong practices, walking, sitting, sound and art meditations we will be weaving the thread of mindfulness and noticing our attitudes in relationship to all of them. All while relaxing in the beauty of Lake Tahoe and savoring the nutritious and delicious meals offered at Camp Galilee. All levels of Yoga/Meditation practitioners are welcome.
Arrival/Departure: Arrive on Thursday no later then 4:30 pm and the retreat will finish on Sunday around 11:30 am.
Cost: $395 There is a limit of 24 spaces. All room and board goes directly to Camp Galilee. A minimum $197 deposit is required to secure your spot. There are 4 single rooms that are first come first serve and are an extra $90. The remaining balance is due by January 26, 2026.
There will be an opportunity to give Dana to Denise at the end of the retreat. The Teacher is supported in her work by Dana (donation) for this retreat and her livelihood is completely sustained by the generosity of the communities she serves. Dana (donation) for these priceless teachings will be gratefully accepted by the teacher and staff, giving participants the opportunity to freely engage in the practice of generosity, the first step toward freedom. Volunteering to help set up before the retreat and assist in clean up at the end are also acts of generosity.

After January 4, 2026 the refund amount is minus $60. After January 26, 2026 no refund is given.
Denise Barclay has been teaching yoga since 1998 and has been practicing Vipassana meditation since 1995. In May 2012, she completed the Mindfulness Yoga and Meditation Teacher Training under Phillip Moffitt and Anne Cushman through Spirit Rock Meditation Center. Over the years, her dedication to teaching mindfulness, movement, and meditation, alongside her extensive retreat experience, has earned her the role of Dharma Leader/Teacher for the Dharma Zephyr Insight Meditation Community.
Denise’s deep commitment to the Buddha Dharma, QiGong and yoga, along with her studies with Heather Sundberg since 2013—especially through Heather’s Committed Students Program—further underscores her spiritual and teaching journey. As a mother, Reiki practitioner, and mindfulness coach, she draws on over four decades of personal experience in self-exploration, healing, and mindfulness, enriching her work with wisdom and compassion.
