Because Covid conditions keep changing, so do our groups. Please contact each group before attending as they may meet in person, on zoom, or hybrid. Scroll down to see our sitting groups.

COVID-19 and General Health Policy summary:  In the spirit of lovingkindness and ethical behavior, Dharma Zephyr offers our updated health and covid policy:  DZIMC will follow all state and local mandates regarding Covid. In addition, for the safety and wellbeing of our community, Dharma Zephyr strongly encourages, but does not require, that participants at our activities and events be vaccinated and boosted for Covid. To care for all who attend our events, we ask that if you are sick (cold, cough, sore throat, runny nose, etc.) or have had a fever, vomiting or diarrhea in the 24 hours prior to an event, that you not attend the event. Adopted 11/19/22.

Sitting quietly in meditation is a central part of our practice. Sitting quietly TOGETHER brings the support of our Sangha, or community of practitioners, to our own meditation practice. By studying and talking together after the quiet sitting period, we can deepen our understanding of this 2,500-year-old practice we are undertaking.

Dharma Zephyr has several sitting groups meeting in northern Nevada and Tahoe communities including Reno, Carson City, Lake Tahoe and Minden/Gardnerville. We welcome all comers; you don’t have to be Buddhist to attend. Beginners are always welcome at all groups. Each group is organized differently and has its own unique “culture.” There is no cost to attend, though a practice of generosity through donations is welcomed to help defray expenses when we are meeting in person.
