Stepping Into the Stream: A half-day retreat and fundraiser in support of Dharma Zephyr’s Inaugural Dāna Retreat

Join us for this half-day retreat of practice, community, and teachings in celebration and support of DZIMC’s plan to offer a dāna-based residential retreat in August, (August 8-13, 2027.) Inspired by the possibility of making its retreats available to more people, the DZIMC community is raising funds to help cover the retreat costs. The Insight Meditation Center (Gil Fronsdal’s community) has already offered seed funding.

In this half-day session, Kim Allen will invite stepping into the stream of Dharma that has flowed through practitioners, communities, and teachers since the time of the Buddha. We will see pictures of Buddhist sites in Sri Lanka and learn about practice in Theravāda centers abroad. Our own centers in America are part of a much larger flow.

We’ll also have guided and silent sitting meditation, walking meditation, and connect with others in small groups to discuss the Dharma. Please join us for this special event in March!
