Saŋsāra: Outer, Inner, and Freedom — Lake Tahoe Residential Retreat with Santikaro

April 9 @ 3:00 pm April 12 @ 1:00 pm

Santikaro

Saŋsāra — “faring on,” circulating — can be seen in all things within our transient, conditional universe, especially the stuff we experience. Everything in the world around us is cyclical and repetitive. The same is true within our inner worlds. Understanding them as saŋsāra helps us to see their true nature. Seeing how the outer and inner saŋsāras interact helps us recognize inter-being and selflessness. Seeing with wisdom allows not being caught within the spinning and churning. Where might freedom be discovered amidst all the outer and inner saŋsāras?

This retreat is suitable for beginning and experienced meditators alike. Guidance in both sitting and walking meditation will be offered.  The retreat will be held in noble silence to support deeper reflection. However, there will be designated times for questions, comments, and responses throughout the retreat.

Santikaro has been teaching for Dharma Zephyr for more than twenty years. For more information about him, click here:  Santikaro bio

DANA FOR OUR TEACHERS
In the Buddhist tradition, the teachings are considered priceless and are offered freely. the practice of dana (generosity) allows us to express our gratitude and support the teachers who share these invaluable teachings. At the the conclusion of the retreat, you will have the opportunity to offer dana (donations) directly to the teachers. By offering dana, you participate in a powerful practice of giving, which is considered a key step toward freedom. We also welcome volunteers to assist with setup before the retreat and cleanup afterward, as these acts of service are also expressions of generosity and are deeply appreciated.

DANA FOR DZIMC
Dana will be gratefully accepted by Dharma Zephyr Insight Meditation Community to support our operating costs and scholarship fund. You can make an online donation by pressing the yellow “DONATE” button.
