Several of DZ’s leaders watched the initial presentation of this program and felt it was important to offer it to the entire community. It was fascinating and informative and gave us much to consider. We hope you can join us. Here is the original invitation that came from the Buddhist Insight Network, an organization linking insight centers from around the US and internationally:
2024 will bring an explosion of artificial intelligence (AI) across society, including in the Dharma world. There will be pivotal conversations about how AI can be more aligned with humanity, and they will need insight about the human condition and the mind’s workings. And, given the more secular nature of the Buddha’s teachings, our communities draw a much larger portion of people who work in tech and science.
Our Insight community has a huge contribution to make with AI and tech in 2024 and beyond. But to do that effectively, we must first understand the AI situation well.
Former BIN board member Randima Fernando recently presented on this topic to a group of senior Buddhist teachers, and there was consensus that it was important to share it more broadly. So we’ve set up an event for our BIN community, [with the invitation to share the recording with your respective sanghas and networks].

The Center’s doors will open at 6:00 pm. The movie begins at 6:30 pm. It is about an hour long and will be followed by a discussion.
There is no charge for this movie. Dana offerings are gratefully accepted in order that Dharma Zephyr may offset the costs of offering the program.The Dharma Zephyr Center is located at 2350 South Carson St, #3 (within Sierra Foot & Ankle) in Carson City, NV.
