The Dharma of Movement: Cultivating Inner Tranquility through Embodied Presence with Deborah Stevenson
December 12 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm
Weekly Qigong Classes: Every Thursday evening 6:30 pm – 8:00 pm, December 12th, 2024 through January 30th, 2025.
The body is our vehicle for awakening, yet we spend most of our time in our heads. This class offers an opportunity to drop down into the body and relax into the flow of experience. By interweaving Dharma, poetry, gentle movement, and meditation, Deborah will set up the conditions for cultivating wholesome mind states that build joy and resilience.
These classes are suitable for beginners as well as more experienced qigong students. No prior experience is necessary.
Drop-ins are welcome; no advanced registration is required. Participants should check with their doctor prior to be sure they are healthy enough for gentle movement. Seated, standing, and lying down meditations will be offered, but the entire practice can be done while seated if desired.
Please bring a bottle of water, a blanket, and a yoga mat if you have one. Chairs are available. Please arrive 10 minutes early to get settled.
Location: Dharma Zephyr Center within Sierra Foot and Ankle – across Curry Street from Greenhouse Garden Center. See map below.
Cost: Donations gratefully accepted.
The Teacher: Deborah Stevenson has been practicing energy healing through Reiki and qigong for over 20 years. Her teachers include Master Li Jun Feng, Master Chunyi Lin, Denny K. Miu, Luchin Mischke, and Lee Holden.
